FAQs
Are Poo~Pourri Wipes flushable?
"When used as directed, you bet your butt they are! Poo~Pourri Flushable Wipes meet the IWSFG PAS 3 flushability standard, developed by the International Water Services Flushability Group. That means they’re tested to break apart quickly in water and move through plumbing without causing blockages, unlike many wipes that rely on looser industry guidelines. We do still recommend some courtesy flushing to prevent flushing too much at once or flushing one wipe at a time in well-maintained household plumbing."
What are Poo~Pourri Flushable wipes made of?
"Poo~Pourri Flushable Wipes are made from plant-based, biodegradable fibers designed to break down responsibly after flushing. Both varieties are infused with a gentle, skin-friendly formula that includes aloe vera, vitamin E, and soothing botanical extracts like chamomile, cucumber, oat, and marshmallow. They’re available in soothing Cucumber Aloe for a light, refreshing clean and Unscented for those who prefer fragrance-free options. Both are vegan, cruelty-free, gluten-free, paraben-free, and hypoallergenic."
Are Poo~Pourri Flushable Wipes septic and sewage safe?
"Yes, when used as directed, Poo~Pourri Flushable Wipes are safe for most household septic systems because they’re engineered to meet strict flushability performance that aligns with global wastewater utility standards like the IWSFG, which is intended to help products break down in plumbing and wastewater systems rather than persist and cause blockages. That said, septic systems and plumbing vary, and things like heavy use, older pipes, or existing build-ups can affect any wipe. For best results, flush one wipe at a time and follow local plumbing guidance. "
Can Poo~Pourri Flushable wipes be used on sensitive skin?
"Yes, our flushable wipes are tweeific for every tush (even the most sensitive)! They're formulated to be gentle enough for sensitive skin. Both Cucumber Aloe and Unscented versions use a soft, plant-based, biodegradable fiber and a calming blend of aloe vera, vitamin E, and soothing botanical extracts that help cleanse without irritation. That said, as with any personal care product, if you have specific skin conditions or extreme sensitivities, you should discontinue use if irritation occurs."
Can I use Poo~Pourri Flushable Wipes as a replacement for toilet paper?
You bet your butt you can! Poo~Pourri Flushable Wipes can be used in place of traditional TP when used as directed. If you do, flush only one wipe at a time to help ensure it breaks down properly and moves through plumbing as intended. Flushing multiple wipes at once can increase the risk of clogs, especially in older or low-flow systems.
How are Poo~Pourri Flushable Wipes tested for flushability?
"We're glad you asked! Poo~Pourri Flushable Wipes are tested for flushability against rigorous, utility-backed criteria, not just loose industry guidelines. Specifically, they are evaluated using the IWSFG PAS 3 flushability standard, developed by the International Water Services Flushability Group, a coalition of global wastewater utilities focused on protecting sewer systems from products that don’t break down well. Under this standard, wipes are tested to ensure they: - Disintegrate quickly in water - Pass slosh box testing that simulates real sewer motion - Clear residential drainlines without sticking around - Undergo biodisintegration to break down biologically over time This reflects real-world wastewater conditions and helps ensure the wipes break apart in plumbing and wastewater systems when flushed one at a time. Wipe without worry, friends!"
