Ever Had a Dream About #2? Here's What it Means.
Your eyes are very heavy, your head is sinking deeper into the comforts of your plush pillow. You are falling fast, fast asleep. As you doze off you think about your day, release any stresses, and commit yourself to a restful night's sleep. Until you start to dream and the next thing you know you're in the bathroom and the toilet is overflowing. Lucky for you it was just a dream and we know why you're having it. We talked to a professional dream interpreter and found out that different symbols can mean different things when they appear in your dreams.
Metaphysically it means that internally you are letting go of things you don't need anymore.
The Toilet
When you are picturing the loo in your sleep, it typically means there is something going on in your life that has you emotionally overloaded. "The function of the bathroom is to release your shit," explained Jen Childers. Jen has been studying and interpreting dreams for more than 10 years. The normal toilet dream scene is an overflowing john, either with feces or simply just water that will not stop bursting from the bowl. "Metaphysically it means that internally you are letting go of things you don't need anymore." In the case of the feces, this means that you have a lot of emotional "shit" built-up inside of you and you need to release it. If you are dreaming that there is a constant stream of water coming from the can then it simply could mean that there is an overwhelming amount of stress is a specific part of your life, and you can't get to the source of the problem.
The Shower
Have you been sick or maybe even spiritually broken recently? Dreaming of the shower can be a sign of cleansing, either physically or spiritually. If you are bouncing back from an illness and you are having dreams of the shower this can be a simple representation that you are healing and your body is cleaning out those nasty toxins. "The bathroom represents a place of cleansing." Jen explained. It isn't just an illness that will keep you seeing the shower in your sleep. You could also be spiritually or emotionally going through a life change that will require your body to cleanse itself of the negative toxins that are currently encompassing you. That got deep.
Your dreams typically represent your thoughts or experiences within the last 24 to 48 hours.
Dreams can all be interpreted a little differently from one another, but the general, underlying meaning will stay the same. Don't let yourself focus too strongly on the big picture of your nightly vision, try to remember the small details as well; this will help you better understand the issue from that day and how you can resolve it. Jen ended by telling us "your dreams typically represent your thoughts or experiences within the last 24 to 48 hours." So, you shouldn't have to dig too deep to uncover what's happening, just think back on your last day or two, and try to remember any feelings of stress or overwhelm. Flush away any bad thoughts and have yourself some sweet dreams!
